The annual Coll Association ceilidh was held on Saturday 21st November 2015 at the National Piping Centre, Glasgow.

Over 120 members and friends joined us on the night, which is the largest number of attendees seen for many years. We were delighted to also welcome representatives from other island associations on the night including Tiree, Mull and Iona, Islay, Skye and Lewis and Harris.

The evening began with a buffet followed by a ceilidh with Hò-rò. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the music on the night and the dance floor was hardly empty! The ceilidh is a great event for bringing young and old together, and it was brilliant to see everyone enjoying themselves.

Once again, the raffle was generously supported. We always lose track at the time but we would like to reiterate our thanks to all members who brought along a bottle, box of chocolates or other prize on the night. Many of the top prizes were donated by local businesses including the Coll Hotel, Tigh na Mara, Tiree Music Festival, CalMac, Coll Active, Branddaddy and Tyrii Pottery. Thanks to the great selection of raffle prizes on the night, the event raised a staggering £921! This will allow the Coll Association to continue to support worthy local causes in the coming years.
